Available to borrow is the carrier-reported amount you can borrow against a policy. Carriers print it on statements as the available loan value. It can be lower than Net Cash Value because of surrender charges or a carrier lending limit.
When no carrier figure is recorded, Policy Stack estimates it as Total Cash Value minus Loan Balance and labels the source. A printed Net Cash Surrender Value is kept as its own field and is not used as borrowing capacity.
Net Cash Value is a separate figure: Total Cash Value minus Loan Balance. It is a tracking value, not a carrier-confirmed maximum loan amount.
On a carrier statement, "available" usually means available loan value. Policy Stack uses "Available to borrow" for that figure and "Net Cash Value" for Total Cash Value minus Loan Balance.
