Child coverage estimate is a separate path in the Human Life Value tool. It is not a Human Life Value method and never creates an adult goal.
How It Works
Enter a parent's coverage and a share of it as a percentage. To work from someone on your Family Coverage map, pick them under Parent or guardian: their recorded coverage fills in, and the saved estimate keeps their name. Typing a different amount clears the pick. A maximum is optional; leave it blank for no maximum. The estimate is the lower of the parent coverage × the percentage and the maximum.
The percentage starts blank. Policy Stack does not suggest one, and it is not a carrier rule or an underwriting decision. Optional sibling coverage and household income are kept for reference and do not change the estimate.
Save and Use in Family Coverage
Save Estimate keeps the inputs and result as a saved estimate that is not edited later. Use in Family Coverage is a separate step: it shows the saved estimate on the child's Family Coverage card as a Modeled line. It never counts as recorded coverage, a goal, or part of the coverage score. During an advisor session, the client confirms before it is added.
